Abstract Submission

    • The deadline for submission : September 22, 2025
    • Notification for acceptance: October 15, 2025

    • Abstracts must be submitted electronically.
    • Abstracts may be submitted in any discipline related to pediatric ophthalmology, including strabismus, pediatric cataract, pediatric glaucoma, pediatric oculoplastic diseases, pediatric retinal diseases, refractive errors, pediatric corneal or anterior segment diseases, amblyopia, pediatric neuro-ophthalmology, orthoptic evaluation, or epidemiology.
    • Abstract Categories:

      • Free Papers

      • Posters (E-Posters or Hard Posters)

      • Rapid-Fire Case Presentations

      • Young Ophthalmologists (presenters must be younger than 35 years old)

 

  • Abstracts should be submitted in the following format:
    o Title of abstract (maximum 50 words)
    o Authors
    o Presenting author
    o Background (Purpose)
    o Methods
    o Results
    o Conclusions
  • The total number of words in the abstract, excluding title and authors, should not exceed 300 words.
  • The abstract title must not include any trade names. They may, however, be used in the content of your text.
  • No author or institution name should be featured in the body of the abstract.
  • Authors will have the choice during their submission to decide whether they want their abstract presented as a poster only, an oral presentation only, or in either format.
  • E-Posters: The submitting author is not required to attend the meeting; however, registration of the submitting author is mandatory, and at least one author must be present during the designated poster viewing time for questions and discussions.

  • Hard Posters: Authors who choose this option must bring a printed poster to the conference and mount it on the assigned poster board. At least one author must be present during the designated poster viewing time.

    For all Free Paper presentations, the presenting author must attend the session in person and deliver their abstract using a PowerPoint presentation. All Free Paper presentations will be discussed during the session, and pre-recorded presentations will not be permitted.

    A prize will be awarded for the best poster, the best free paper, and the best young ophthalmologist presentation.

  • Abstracts will be sent for scoring, and the submitting author will be notified by the decision by October 15, 2025
  • Maximum number of accepted abstracts for each presenting author is 2 abstracts.
